VMware Tools Removal Script

Force-uninstalls VMware Tools from Microslop systems (even broken installs) and cleans leftovers.

Usage

Run this as Administrator in powershell:

irm "https://weforge.xyz/partisan/Remove-VMwareTools/raw/branch/main/script.ps1" | iex

Use at your own risk! A system backup is highly recommended before proceeding.

Tested on:

  • Windows server 2012
  • Widnows server 2016
  • Windows server 2019

This script is not particularly maintained. Also it's not safe to run scripts passed trough TLS 1.0, but having outdated system is a you issue.
